CORAL POP

Tudor pocket tank via Gap | 3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch | Zara bleached denim jacket & platform heel sandal | ASOS claw ringspike stretch bracelet & skinny cross bangle

I am so honored to once again take part in Gap's Summer Styld.by campaign. Since I am such a fan of Gap and bright colors, it was absolutely amazing to style pieces from their Summer12 collection. To see the full feature on Gap.com, please CLICK HERE, or click on the images in the post above!

My inspiration for this particular outfit was one of my favorite fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2012, which is bright color. My take on wearing this Summer's saturated hue trend is by pairing bright colors with a neutral base. To emphasize the richness of the coral top, I threw in a pair of heels in a matching hue.

GREEN DAY

(Equipment signature mint blouse - cute ones here & here,  ASOS claw ring & spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one, Thief and Bandit studded cuff bracelet in bright plaid, Tibi Amber high heel sandals, ASOS pant with jet pocket)

Wearing an outfit comprised entirely of current favorites. You've seen most of these items on my blog before, some more than others:) What can I say, I love this clutch because it really does work with everything! But these pants are brand spanking new. Once in a while I get tired of wearing jeans,  so I always keep my eyes open for a pair of cool slacks. I got these from Asos a few days ago because, well, the fit is pretty amazing and of course I just love bright green. I have a distinct feeling you will be seeing them on my blog quite a bit, so feel free to let me know if I am overdoing it a bit:)

Once again, I want to mention that we are going to have a few very exciting GIVEAWAYS in May, the first of which is coming up on Monday. So, stay tuned for more details:)

PERFECT ASYMMETRY

(BCBG blouse old, Helmut Lang Fulcrum print skirt, Giuseppe Zanotti colorblock high heel sandals old,  Asos spike stretch bracelet3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch)

Hey Everyone,

I apologize for the long silence but I spend last week fighting the most hideous case of the sniffles, which rendered taking pictures absolutely impossible. Normally I start taking massive amounts of vitamins around April to combat Spring-time colds, but this year my fail-proof plan failed me measurably! Oh well, a week in bed gave me some time to finally catch up on my on-line shopping and of course Gossip Girl:)

Now that I am back in fighting shape, I am eager to show of my new splurges. Case in point, this  asymmetric hemline Helmut Lang skirt. Perfect draping, taupe leather waistband and geometric print come together effortlessly to create a perfect Summer staple. Love at first sight!

CRUSH ON COLOR

(Rebecca Taylor cross-back mesh sweater, jeans old - similar here & here3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, Zara sandals)

Continuing my love affair with the color orange, my latest obsession is the mesh sweater by Rebecca Taylor. Can't really decide what I love more: the color, texture or the cross back. Luckily, I don't have to decide, all of the above come together to create one perfect sweater:)

Emil and I shot these pics on Melrose avenue next to our favorite Urth Caffe. We had one of those wonderfully relaxing, lazy days. Have to admit, after a few very busy weeks it was pretty nice to carve some time off. Talking about favorite places, this week I am featured on socialyte.co discussing some of my favorite places in Malibu. CLICK HERE to find out exactly what they are!

A HINT OF GLINT

(J Brand mid-rise skinny jeans in soft lilac, Ted Baker micro pleat Emmii top3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one, Zara laminated high wedge)

Always on a look out for a good pair of jeans, I was delighted when my beloved J Brand jeans come out with fresh new colors for spring.  I have to admit, it was pretty difficult choosing between the prettiest blue, sherbet yellow and this pretty pale lavender. But I have a soft spot for all shades of purple so I finally decided on the lavender. Absolutely happy with my decision, I am pretty sure I am going to get the yellow ones as well. Yes, I am one of those people who buy things they like in all the available colors. Because after all, if the color is different it's basically a different pair of jeans, right:)?

Hope you guys are not getting tired of seeing this Phillip Lim clutch. I know I've used it in every single one of my posts lately but it's one of those magical bags that works with everything. I am starting to feel bad for my old favorites collecting dust on the shelves and I make an effort to use a different bag yet come back to this clutch anyway. Does it ever happen to you? Any favorites at the moment?

Have a great week,
Love,
Annabelle

DETAIL ORIENTED

(Gifted Winter Kate Riya dress - StefaniBags.com, Zara heels, 3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one)

Really fell in love with the tribal pattern on the front of this dress, and of course the black and white combination is so timeless. I like a little black dress with a bit of drama, like an interesting shape or fabric or a bit of cute detailing.

Another obsession of the moment seem to be clutches in all colors and sizes. Funny, it used to be all about a huge caryall for me. The bigger, the better. I mean, leaving the house without a cosmetics bag, 2 hair brushes, 3 organizers and a bunch of Emil's stuff, which always magically founds its way into my bag - unthinkable! But now, I am finding that a smaller purse is much more efficient. At the end of the day, I really don't need to have 7 lip glosses with me all the time:) Yesterday, it only took me about 30 seconds to find my car keys, a new speed record, believe me:)

This particular clutch by Phillip Lim is a favorite! I got a few emails about it, yes, it's white on one side and black on the other. Cool, right?! It's like two bags in one!

Love,
Annabelle
